It’s been tough. You are struggling and have tried everything from meditation to herbal supplements, yet you still can’t get past the barriers to your happiness. You may have even tried therapy, and although it may have helped, it still didn’t completely do it for you. Now what?


I possess  over 20 years experience as a licensed psychotherapist and earned both a master's degree in clinical social work and a post graduate school certification in cognitive behavioral therapy. I am also the founder of The Holistic Resilience Training system. 


The vast majority of my clinical practice centered on helping victims of crime, law enforcement officers, and military personnel. These clients suffered the most unimaginable traumas. In the beginning, I followed the prescribed protocols, accepted the limitations of conventional practice, and did the best I could do. I helped a lot of people. However, there were some who, no matter what I did, continued to be traumatized. That was unacceptable. I had to find a better way. 


I realized that if I shifted from the goal of just helping clients be well to focusing on building their holistic resilience, they achieved remarkably better outcomes. When I integrated holistic resilience training into their therapy, my clients started to realize a cessation of their current experience of negative thoughts and emotions, were able to overcome them, and become even stronger. This approach inherently positioned my clients into a state of consistent growth.


You are not broken. The focus in the vast majority of therapy and coaching has been on feeling good rather than being good. If you are tired of being stuck and are willing to break out of this cycle, we will work together to build your holistic resilience. You can get through this time in your life - and also - be a stronger person as a result of it.

Specialties

I specialize in working with men, women and young adults, particularly those who have struggled in the past and have not been successful with prior therapy. Since I have unique experience in working with all kinds of trauma, those who have been struggling with depression, anxiety, relationships, work, or who are generally stuck, do well working with me.   

Approach

My therapeutic modality is primarily cognitive emotional therapy. I also integrate and draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques to tailor my approach to each client's unique needs. In particular, I integrate holistic resilience training in all treatments. This training addresses both the underling causes of issues and concurrently provides a mechanism to strengthen clients.


 I prioritize creating a warm and supportive environment for my clients and my approach to therapy is collaborative. This means you and I will work together to achieve your goals. Therapy continues in-between sessions with assignments and processing. 


My overall  objective is to create a realistic path to your goals  so you achieve them in the shortest time possible.

What is Holistic resilience training?

Holistic Resilience Training assumes human resilience is trainable, benefits the whole person, and is quantifiable.  


It is deeply rooted in evidence-based research and years of practical application. Holistic resilience training assumes nature is constantly providing adverse experiences to challenge all human beings’ innate drive to survive, grow, and adapt so that each successive generation is better than the previous.


Holistic Resilience Training allows practitioners the ability to maintain a constant and consistent state of growth.
